Winter Concert 2015

              Rooms 1, 3, 20, 21, 22, 23 & 24 present….
‘How the Penguins Saved Christmas!’

Just as a pack of penguins are properly preparing for the pomp of a perfectly polite pageant, a stranger drops from the sky into their midst, knocking himself quite unconscious.

Eventually reasoning that this stranger must be Santa Claus, the penguins find that once conscious again, the visitor has no memory whatsoever - and on Christmas Eve!

With the help of the Wise Old Emperor penguin and Santa’s reindeer, the penguins will have to save Christmas!

Thursday, December 10th, 1:00p.m. &
Thursday, December 10th, 6:00p.m.

January Newsletter

Greetings from the Music Room!  Happy New Year!  I would like to congratulate all of our students on an excellent performance at our Winter Concert in December.  You should all be very proud of yourselves for putting on a great concert.  Way to go!  I would like to extend many thanks to all the staff at Heritage School who worked so hard and helped out behind the scenes. You’re the best!

Grade 4/5 Choir….continues to rehearse every Day 6 during Period 4.  We have two upcoming performances to prepare for.  The first one is at Music Celebration in February, a choral festival put on by the St. James-Assiniboia School Division.  The second performance in March will be at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  More information will be sent home closer to these events.

Recorder Karate Recorder Karate is a recorder program for students who would like an extra challenge! Interested students in Grades 4 & 5 will be given a package of music to practice. They can then play the songs for me and earn different karate belts as they master each song in the package.  Recorder Karate testing will continue to take place every Day 5 during Morning Recess. Please see me if you are interested in this program.

Divisional Musical Theatre…
Room 19, 14, 20 and 24 will be attending the Divisional Musical Theatre production of ‘Peter Pan’ on Friday, January 30th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.  We will be taking a bus to Westwood Collegiate for this event.  A permission form will be sent home soon. We are looking forward to seeing our very own Katie Carleton, Kaylee Dobson, Naomi Hudson and Grace Love on stage for this show.  Break a leg girls!
