October News!

Greetings from the Music Room!  Well, September has flown by and I have been impressed with the enthusiasm and musical skills that students have displayed in all classes so far. Keep up the good work!

Intermediate Choir. Grade 4/5 Intermediate Choir is off to a fantastic start! We are working on two pieces for our first performance at the Remembrance Day Service. We will be performing ‘There is Peace’ and ‘To You Be Peace’.

Please mark your calendars! The Grade 4/5 Intermediate Choir has been invited to perform at the St. James-Assiniboia Divisional Candlelight Service. The service takes place on Monday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre.  A bus will be provided to transport students from Heritage to the theatre. More details will be sent home soon about this fantastic opportunity!

Recorder Karate testing for Grade 4/5 students will take place every Day 5 during morning recess. Interested students are welcome to practice their recorders and test for recorder belts.

A reminder about recorders…We have started reviewing recorders in Grade 4/5 classes. Some students still need to bring in their recorders from last year.  We will store them in the music room during the school year.  If you have misplaced your recorder over the summer and require a new one, they are available for purchase through the office.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Mrs. Neufeld
